Manchester United are now targeting Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic as a potential replacement for Paul Pogba who is set to leave the club this summer, according to reports in Italy.
Pogba’s current deal at Old Trafford runs out in the summer and he is yet to sign a new deal at the club. Milinkovic-Savic is said to be about to leave Lazio in the summer.
The Red Devils have been linked with the midfielder on several occasions in the past three summers but according to the reports, the deal could be done as a replacement for the reportedly outgoing Pogba.
United will be facing competition from PSG and Juventus as both clubs have also shown a massive interest in the Serbian should they fail to land Pogba as they’ve shown interest in the Frenchman.
The player’s agent is said to have very good relations with Juventus. Lazio are expected to ask for a big fee of around €70 million to sell the Serbian should Manchester United submit a bid this summer.
