Brazilian star and former Real Madrid midfielder, Casemiro has completed his desired move to Manchester United and is set to be unveiled at Old Trafford ahead of Manchester United’s clash against Liverpool on Monday night.
Ten Hag and all Man Utd fans hope the Brazilian would bring steel to an otherwise lacklustre United midfield, as well as bundles of elite-level experience after winning five Champions League titles with Real Madrid.
The Brazilian defensive midfielder has become synonymous with the number 14 shirt during his time in Spain, wearing it ever since properly establishing himself with Real Madrid in 2015 following a loan at Porto.
However, it would not be the case as the Red Devils have already re-assigned it to Christian Eriksen after the departure of Jesse Lingard who recently vacated it after six years at the club.
Numbers that are available to Casemiro at Manchester United include 13, 15, 18, 21, 24 and 30. Casemiro had been known to wear 18 for Real Madrid Castilla, which was made famous at United by Paul Scholes and is currently available this summer when Bruno Fernandes switch to Juan Mata’s eight.
