Manchester United were close to signing Norwegian football star, Erling Haaland before he signed with Borussia Dortmund at the end of 2020. But they have an uphill battle to convince him to join this time.
According to the Mirror.co.uk, Erling Haaland is said to have refused to take on requests of Manchester United, despite the Red Devils willingness to match any financial offer made by other potential clubs interested in him.
The Borussia Dortmund player is looking up his next move. Haaland is enjoying another productive season with Dortmund with 23 goals scored in 24 games so far, bringing his total goals for Dortmund to 80 in eighty three games.

His form and release clause puts Europe’s best and biggest clubs in red alert for what could be a lengthy and expensive hunt in the race to sign him. But one team who don’t appear to be in the running are United, with ESPN claiming he has fears over whether his ambitions will be able to met at Old Trafford.
