Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag wants to ignite a revival at Manchester United and he has announced whether Cristiano Ronaldo, the superstar forward, will be a part of that next season.
Erik ten Hag, new Manchester United manager, has spoken out about Cristiano Ronaldo’s future at Man Utd for the first time since he was officially announced to be entering the job at Old Trafford.
Ten Hag’s arrival will see Ronaldo continue as the Red Devils’ striker. Edinson Cavani is out of contract. Although it is no secret that the manager will be looking for reinforcements, he seems to have big plans for Ronaldo.
He said:
“From tomorrow, my focus will be on United, and I will of course get deep into things there. What I have to say about it is, that the detailed analysis still has to begin, I still have to work with the team, but let me be clear that at United there are a lot of good players around. We have to make them function as a team but definitely Ronaldo, he is a giant.”
Ten Hag plans to reshape United’s side and the former Real Madrid forward is still central to his plans. He could be the figure that he builds his team around, in the short term.
Also, the club has been linked to Darwin Nunez and Harry Kane in recent weeks, but neither of these players is the right calibre to fill the bench.
CR7 has scored 18 goals in 30 Premier League appearances so far this season
